These CD cases are pretty sturdy and none have fallen apart when opened or closed.
I was concerned with some of the descriptions about this product arriving with about 10% broken. Thankfully, all the cases arrived unbroken, even with the outside box having one end smashed in a few inches. Seeing the damaged box, and remarking on how heavy the box was, upon opening it I found another box inside with the air pouches acting as insulation. Perhaps they have now changed the packaging with the double box, because otherwise I am sure some of the disks would have broken.
Also, I found the cases to open quite easily when done with the clearer side on top and the hinge on the left. There was no need to do any sanding as described in another review.
Perhaps they have been listening to the problems and have been enjoying the challenge of improving their product, an energizing reason for work.
Bottom line: I am happy with the product and would recommend it from my experience.
These cases are simple, clean, and practical for protecting any CD or DVD. The price is reasonable, the shipment was quick. Planning to buy more real soon.

Slim CD Cases are great!
These clear jewel cases make it easy to see what you have and the slim design saves space. I use them for cd's and dvd's. I haven't had any problems with them; they are a good value.
Cheaper than thick CD cases and less prone to breakage, these "slim" cases by Memorex protect your CDs. Most buyers will get them for use in CD or DVD burning, and these are an affordable choice from a quality company for that purpose. These are some darn good slim cd jewel cases.
After reading some of the negative reviews and still deciding to order these slim cases, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package (which arrived on schedule and without physical damage) and all slim cases were in great shape translating into no throw aways. So, I am a happy camper with the product, the speedy arrival, the price, it fulfills my needs, and why I gave this product a five-star rating.
What a pleasant surprise! The image on the product page is the way I've gotten these jewel cases either in this or the 25-count size in the past--thin cardboard around both ends and 2 of the other four sides, with shrink wrap finshing it off. I always had to allow for about 5% breakage in transit when I mail-ordered them here. So I open this package and I see that these have been packed in a great 1/8"-thick corrugated tray, with shrink wrap around that. From appearances, this does several times as good a job of protecting the cases as the other packaging did. Not to mention being a better storage container. I don't know if they also come to regular retail stores this way, but I had been ready in advance to write 2 or 3 of these off--now they'll all be usable. Maybe Amazon should revise the product page imagery.
